Atelier Makeover

I have had an Atelier for my brand The House of Perna for 7 years now. We have been in 4 different locations, and have dragged a lot of things with us from place to place. We always tried our best to keep it organized since we have SO MANY small supplies and can’t get rid of them.

After 2020, we wanted to revisit how we use our space, and give it a little make over. We were struggling with how we could make it functional but also aesthetically pleasing with so many necessary items in the space. We realized that we needed the help of a professional organizer! We met Saskia from Outward-In Organizing on Instagram, and set up a consultation. She was lovely on the call, but we felt she needed to come in and see what she was really dealing with.

When she arrived for the first in person meeting, she looked at everything, listened to our concerns and desires and took it all in. We were given a quote, asked for a materials budget and then were on our way to making big changes.

We have the largest space in The Arts Warehouse, but we are busting at the seams with merchandise and supplies. Saskia went through every drawer, cabinet and nook in the space (even Stella’s playhouse) and made it organized and beautiful! The best part is she came in UNDER budget for supplies, especially in a small business EVERY penny saved is a huge help!

My team and I are so busy working on a million projects that we never had time to set it all up where everything had a home, now that has changed. All of our drawers and bins are labeled so we don’t need to open them all up to see what is inside.

We had a lot of things out on a peg board, but Saskia suggested that we use that space for display, and move the supplies into carts and drawers, and what a difference it made! Our space now looks so beautiful, and is extra functional.
