5 Reasons to Stay At The Four Seasons Orlando and Don’t Have to Leave The Property

When people plan a trip to Orlando, it typically is to go to a theme park. Being from an adorable beach town, I honestly never thought of going to Central Florida to just staycation at a resort. Well friend, my mind is changed forever!

After not traveling for an entire year, not seeing friends and not doing much of anything (thanks to you COVID), we finally felt comfortable to venture outside of our town. A friend was heading up to Orlando just to relax and get away and asked if we wanted to join. After doing research, we all decided the place to go was The Four Seasons Orlando (We are huge fans of The Four Seasons, and we got married at The Four Seasons Firenze). We arrived on property and immediately felt safe, a definite sense of focus on cleanliness and keeping people protected from COVID, and like we could relax and have a great time.

This resort exceeded our expectations to say the least. We stayed 4 nights and spent 2 completely on property without leaving, and honestly I could have stayed a whole week. Putting it in perspective, my husband and I are typically the people who go on vacation and pack it so full that we need time off from our vacation. This property really does have it all! But without further ado, here are my top 5 reasons you can stay on property

Number 5- The Rooms

We stayed in the Golden Oak Suite, and I have to say that it is bigger and more luxurious than most NYC apartments! The rooms have a really clean, modern feeling with beautiful artwork, and furniture that feels beautifully curated like it would be in a home and not boring and like it belongs in a hotel. All of the rooms are a little different, but we definitely spent a good amount of time in the evening before dinner just hanging out on the balcony, looking out over the beautiful property.

We LOVE Nespresso, and I always have a cup while getting ready in the morning, so having a machine in our room was wonderful and really made us feel at home. You are provided water bottles, a mini fridge and they even have the coolest wine cooler for people who like a nice glass while lounging in the beautiful tub.

Turn down service is a little different right now with COVID, but you were still given a bottle of water and the curtains all closed which is so lovely after a day out by the pool.

The bathrooms have delicious smelling toiletries, luxurious towels, robes and slippers for you to feel at home. I am the person who always brings my own toiletries because I am so picky, and I have to say that I actually did use theirs because they were so lovely!

Number 4- The Food

The first day of our stay we went to Epcot (for Stellas first time at Disney!), and would up getting back to the hotel at 11:30pm and were hungry. We have had horrible experiences in the past at a few high end hotels with room service, but FS Orlando did not disappoint. We had a burger and a hummus plate and both were warm, delicious and placed outside the door to keep us and the hotel staff member safe.

The next two days we stayed on property and had wonderful meals. We tried to eat at the different restaurants so we could experience as many as possible and here are my thoughts on each.

Lickety Split

We love Lickety Split! The coffee is delicious, the acai bowl, avocado toast and yogurt were all wonderful for breakfast.

We also went back for an afternoon gelato treat. The flavors are delicious and the texture is perfect! We also had macarons were flaky, gooey and delicious, we cant wait to be back to have more!

PB & G

This is the perfect place to grab a sandwich or a salad even if you are a little wet from a day at the pool. We loved the fish tacos.

Pool

I definitely recommend getting lunch by the pool. You can stay in the pool and they bring it rIght to your chair. They have options ranging from sandwiches and burgers to lighter (but still delicious) options. We had a few drinks, and they were good, but we did like the drinks better at Ravello and Capa.

Ravello

We had dinner the second night at Ravello and it was wonderful. I HIGHLY recommend the meatballs, Tomato & Mozzarella Focaccia, Black Tagliatelle and Prawns. The service was amazing, our drinks were wonderful, and so was the food!

We went back for breakfast with the characters which was really cute. If you aren’t going to a park but want the “Disney” experience, this is for you! Due to COVID it is no longer a buffet style brunch, but you can pick what you want from the menu and you can have bottomless mimosas even for a slight up charge.

Capa

We LOVED Capa! We got a bunch of delicious tapas and didn’t even have room for entrees (which we hear are also out of this world). We loved getting to have a few bites of a bunch of different things and seriously every single thing that we had was wonderful.

The restaurant was also so beautiful and the drinks we had were phenomenal.

Number 3- The Property Overall

From the moment you drive into the gates of the property, you feel like you are in Europe, not in Florida (except for the palm trees). The grounds are meticulously maintained, and every single inch of the property is clean, polished and manicured. When you pull up you are greeted by lovely staff that immediately helps you get your bags upstairs and you over to get temperature checked and check in.

The lobby is stunning with a spectacular crystal chandelier that are what dreams are made of. The check in and concierge counters are so well designed and have friendly, knowledgable staff that even gave my little one a treasure map and bag to find clues with! Stella was immediately in love.

You pass by the adorable Lickety Split , the lobby bar, and two dangerously fabulous gift shops on your way to the elevator.

Even some high end hotels have hallways with stains and things that need to be touched up- not here, everything was impeccable.

Since it’s opening in 2014, the FS Orlando has received a ton of accolades including being named the first and the only AAA Five Diamond rated resort and among the top one percent of luxury hotels worldwide by TripAdvisor. I have to say, I completely understand why they have received these awards, everything about this property and staff was extraordinary!

Rates typically start at $745 per night, and I have to say if it is within your budget it is worth every single penny!

Number 2- The Pools

There are so many different water activities on property that even us ocean loving people did not feel like we were missing the ocean AT ALL! The other thing that was lovely is the staff made you a little spot with chairs and ice water. If you forgot your sunscreen, no worries; they have dispensers in cabanas by each pool area.

Stella was obsessed with the splash pad, she loved the waterfalls, the little fountains and that she could run around and get wet in so many different ways.

My favorite was the lazy river. You could go on a float, swim or even walk around the river. There are also all different things that happen while you are on it. There are waterfalls, squirt guns where people can shoot water on you, and even a little rapids area. You can float with a cocktail or a refreshing glass of water while you float on down.

The teams at the restaurants were knowledgeable and happy to accomodate food allergies and preferences. The people at the desk, valet and bellman were all friendly, helpful and lovely to interact with.
